Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups warm water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Add in the flour, salt, and oil, then mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it. Let it rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Punch down the dough and divide it into equal pieces. Shape each piece into a roll.
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Make a small cross on the top of each roll with a sharp knife.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- For a crispier crust, mist the rolls with water before baking.
