- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup sundried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add the garlic to the skillet, sautéing until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, sundried tomatoes, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Bring the sauce to a simmer.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over it. Cook for 5–7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley. Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken thighs if preferred.
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
- Serve with pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes to soak up the delicious sauce.
