Description

“Marry Me Chicken” is a creamy, flavorful dish said to be so good it might just inspire a proposal! Chicken is simmered in a rich sauce with sundried tomatoes, garlic, and Parmesan cheese. This recipe is perfect for a romantic dinner or a special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup sundried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add the garlic to the skillet, sautéing until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  4. Stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, sundried tomatoes, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Bring the sauce to a simmer.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over it. Cook for 5–7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken thighs if preferred.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
  • Serve with pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes to soak up the delicious sauce.
