- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Form the ground beef into 4 equal balls.
- Place each ball on the skillet and smash it down with a spatula.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook for about 3 minutes, then flip the burgers and add cheese. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- While the burgers are cooking, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and garlic powder in a bowl to make the house sauce.
- Toast the buns on the skillet until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading house sauce on both sides of the bun and placing the burger patty inside.
- Serve hot.
