Ingredients
🥩 1 cup smoked brisket, shredded
🧀 4 slices of your favorite cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or provolone)
🍞 4 slices of thick-cut bread (sourdough or brioche recommended)
🧈 2 tablespoons butter, softened
🥄 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional, for added flavor)
Instructions
🧈 Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
🧂 Sprinkle garlic powder on the buttered sides, if desired.
🍞 Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, on a skillet over medium heat.
🧀 Add a slice of cheese to each bread slice, then layer with shredded brisket.
🧀 Top with another slice of cheese, then close the sandwich with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
🔥 Cook until golden brown on one side (3-4 minutes), then flip and cook until the other side is golden and the cheese has melted.
🥪 Remove from the skillet, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
Notes
Use your favorite BBQ sauce to drizzle over the brisket for extra flavor.
Swap the cheese to suit your taste – try pepper jack for a spicy kick!
