A deliciously cheesy and smoky twist on a classic! This Smoked Brisket Grilled Cheese Sandwich combines tender smoked brisket with gooey melted cheese for the ultimate comfort food experience.

Ingredients

  • 🥩 1 cup smoked brisket, shredded
  • 🧀 4 slices of your favorite cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or provolone)
  • 🍞 4 slices of thick-cut bread (sourdough or brioche recommended)
  • 🧈 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 🥄 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional, for added flavor)

Instructions

  • 🧈 Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  • 🧂 Sprinkle garlic powder on the buttered sides, if desired.
  • 🍞 Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, on a skillet over medium heat.
  • 🧀 Add a slice of cheese to each bread slice, then layer with shredded brisket.
  • 🧀 Top with another slice of cheese, then close the sandwich with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
  • 🔥 Cook until golden brown on one side (3-4 minutes), then flip and cook until the other side is golden and the cheese has melted.
  • 🥪 Remove from the skillet, let cool slightly, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use your favorite BBQ sauce to drizzle over the brisket for extra flavor.
  • Swap the cheese to suit your taste – try pepper jack for a spicy kick!
