Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the rigatoni pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the Italian sausage and lean ground beef for 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste into the skillet. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rigatoni, meat sauce, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Mix gently.
  6. Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
  8. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
