Step-by-Step Instructions for Swamp Potatoes
  1. Wash and halve the small baby potatoes, slice the smoky sausage into rounds, and trim and cut the green beans into 3-inch pieces.
  2. In a 6-quart slow cooker, toss the halved potatoes, sliced sausage, and green bean pieces.
  3. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning and the Cajun spice mix over the layers in the slow cooker.
  4. Pour the cup of beef broth over all the ingredients and stir gently.
  5. Place pats of butter evenly across the top of the mixture.
  6. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
