Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Start by washing and halving the Brussels sprouts, setting them aside for even cooking. Next, cut the beef sirloin into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large skillet, pour in 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and heat over medium-high heat.
  3. Once the oil is hot, add the beef sirloin in a single layer to the skillet. Sear the beef for approximately 3 minutes on each side.
  4. Utilizing the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the freshly minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the skillet. Season them with salt and pepper, then sauté for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Once the Brussels sprouts are nicely caramelized, return the seared beef to the skillet. Pour in the low-sodium soy sauce and sprinkle the dried thyme on top.
  7. After simmering, remove the skillet from heat and dish out the mixture onto plates.
