Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, blend 2 cups of mashed potatoes with ½ cup of all-purpose flour, ¼ cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 1 egg, ½ teaspoon of salt, and ¼ teaspoon of black pepper until smooth.
  2. Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into fry-like pieces, about ½ inch thick, on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. In a frying pan, pour enough oil to cover the bottom by ½ inch and heat to around 350°F (175°C).
  4. Carefully add shaped fries into the hot oil in batches, frying each side for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
