  • 60 pieces Ritz crackers round buttery crackers
  • 1 cup dulce de leche creamy caramel
  • 1.5 cups dark chocolate chips rich chocolatey flavor
  • 1.5 cups dark chocolate melting wafers for dipping
  • to taste sea salt optional, for garnish

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place 30 Ritz crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Spoon a dollop of dulce de leche onto the center of each cracker.
  4. Press remaining Ritz crackers on top of the dulce de leche to form sandwiches.
  5. Bake for 5-7 minutes until golden and warm.
  6. Allow cookies to cool slightly on the baking sheet.
  7. Melt dark chocolate chips and melting wafers together.
  8. Dip each sandwich in the melted chocolate and let excess drip off.
  9. Sprinkle sea salt over dipped cookies while chocolate is wet, if desired.
  10. Allow the chocolate to set completely at room temperature.
