  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced fresh
For the Pastry
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thoroughly thawed
For the Egg Wash
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry to about ¼ inch thick and cut into 4-inch squares.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square and top with sliced strawberries.
  5. Fold and seal each pastry square securely to keep the filling contained.
  6. Whisk together egg and milk, then brush the egg wash over the tops of each sealed Danish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving warm.
