Ingredients

For the Stir Fry
  • 1 lb frozen potstickers or dumplings these are the star of your dish, offering that delightful bite
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil used for frying the potstickers to golden perfection
  • 2 cloves garlic minced; adds a fragrant depth of flavor
  • 1 tablespoon ginger minced; infuses a warm spiciness
For the Veggies
  • 1 bell pepper sliced; brings a sweet crunch and a pop of color
  • 1 cup snow peas these add a refreshing crispness
  • 1 cup broccoli florets packed with nutrients
  • 1 carrot julienned; its natural sweetness balances the savory elements
For the Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce a must-have for delicious umami flavor
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar adds acidity to brighten the taste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil gives a rich, nutty finish
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds sprinkle on top for added crunch
  • 2 green onions chopped; brings freshness and a mild oniony taste

Equipment

  • large nonstick skillet

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by heating 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes until it shimmers.
  2. Add the frozen potstickers, allowing them to sear. Cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown and crispy on all sides. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce the heat slightly and add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Let it heat for about 30 seconds before adding the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté these fragrant ingredients for about 30 seconds.
  4. Next, toss in the sliced bell pepper, snow peas, broccoli florets, and julienned carrot. Sauté the vegetables for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. While the vegetables are sautéing, mix together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil in a small bowl. Stir well until evenly combined.
  6. Return the crispy potstickers to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Pour the prepared soy sauce mixture over the top, ensuring that everything is well-coated.
  7. Stir gently for about 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to simmer and meld the flavors together.
  8. To finish your dish, sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top for added texture. Serve warm and enjoy!
