  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
For the Mix-ins
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup chopped pecans optional

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each, then stir in vanilla and pumpkin puree.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the white chocolate chips and chopped pecans if using.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
