- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each, then stir in vanilla and pumpkin puree.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the white chocolate chips and chopped pecans if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
