Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth and creamy. Stir in the melted butter.
  3. Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the banana mixture and mix well.
  4. Add granulated sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract to the banana mixture, stirring gently.
  5. Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined, leaving the batter slightly lumpy.
  6. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and chopped nuts, distributing evenly.
  7. Pour the prepared batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
