- In a medium mixing bowl, pour in 1 cup of extra virgin olive oil and add 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar. Whisk to combine for about 30 seconds.
- Sprinkle in 2 teaspoons each of dried oregano and dried basil into the oil mixture. Mix thoroughly for another 30 seconds.
- Add 1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes, 2 cloves of finely chopped garlic, and 1 teaspoon of sea salt. Stir for about 30 seconds.
- Add freshly ground black pepper to taste and mix for about 15 seconds.
- If desired, add 1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese and stir for another 20-30 seconds.
- Taste the dipping oil and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Allow the Bread Dipping Oil to sit at room temperature for at least 15-30 minutes.
- Before serving, stir the oil and pour it into a shallow dish or bowl.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve with a loaf of freshly baked bread.
