  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, ½ cup of granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, ½ teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoon of cinnamon, and ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together ½ cup of milk, 2 large eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and ¼ cup of melted butter until smooth.
  3. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large heavy pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the donuts for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
