Step-by-Step Instructions for Chocolate & Orange Punchcake
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, sift all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until blended.
  4. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients while mixing on medium speed, then add boiling water.
  5. Stir in orange zest and orange juice into the batter.
