Preparation Steps
- Boil lasagna noodles in a large pot of water with olive oil and salt until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse.
- Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat for 6-8 minutes until browned, draining excess grease.
- Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic in the skillet for 4-5 minutes until soft and translucent.
- Stir in tomato sauce and tomato paste, season with salt and chopped parsley, and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Mix ricotta, half mozzarella, half Parmesan, beaten egg, and parsley in a bowl until smooth.

- Layer ingredients in a 9x13 inch casserole dish: meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture; repeat until finished.
- Cover and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
