Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry and season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, ground black pepper, and salt.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and sear the chicken thighs for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Deglaze the skillet with chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits.
  6. Stir in honey and BBQ sauce, allowing to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add uncooked rice to the skillet, stirring to coat it in the sauce.
  8. Nestle the chicken into the rice mixture, ensuring it's partially submerged.
  9. Cover the skillet and bake for 30-35 minutes until the rice is tender and has absorbed the liquid.
  10. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  11. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
