  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch baking pan.
  2. Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples, then set them aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and cardamom.
  4. In another bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth, then add eggs, vanilla, and yogurt.
  5. Gradually combine the dry mixture with the wet mixture until just combined.
