Step-by-Step Instructions for Buttery Cheese Garlic Rolls
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar. Gradually pour in warm water and melted butter. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  2. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for approximately 1 hour.
  3. Punch down the dough, divide it into 12 pieces, and flatten each piece slightly.
  4. Place mozzarella cheese in the center of each dough piece, fold edges over to seal, and place seam-side down in a greased baking dish.
  5. Cover the baking dish and allow rolls to rise for an additional 30 minutes until puffy.
  6. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in minced garlic, chopped parsley, and optional garlic powder; mix until combined.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Brush the tops of each roll with warm garlic butter as soon as they come out of the oven.
  9. Allow rolls to cool slightly before serving warm.
