Step-by-Step Instructions for Crispy Air Fryer Apple Fries
  1. Start by washing your apples and peeling them if desired. Slice into wedges about ½ inch thick, removing the core and seeds.
  2. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and granulated sugar. Set it aside for sprinkling once the apple fries are cooked.
  3. Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and panko breadcrumbs mixed with half of the cinnamon-sugar in a third bowl.
  4. Dredge each apple slice in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then press into breadcrumb mixture. Repeat for all slices.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  6. Arrange breaded apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket and lightly spray with cooking spray.
  7. Air fry apple slices for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  8. Once cooked, sprinkle with remaining cinnamon-sugar and serve immediately with dipping sauces.
