Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pour 3 cups of boiling water over 25-30 dried blue pea flowers in a heatproof container. Let steep for 20-30 minutes, then strain the petals and freeze the vibrant tea in ice cube trays overnight.
  2. Prepare regular ice by crushing it using an ice crushing blender or a mallet. Transfer to the freezer to chill until ready to assemble the drink.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine lemon juice and white sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves and simmer for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  4. Refrigerate the cooled lemon syrup to enhance the refreshing flavor.
  5. Fill a tall glass with regular crushed ice, leaving a quarter empty. Layer with crushed butterfly pea magic ice.
