Method
- In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat for about 1 minute.
- Add 4 cloves of minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and translucent.
- Pour in 4 cups of vegetable or chicken broth, bringing it to a simmer (3-4 minutes).
- Once simmering, add 8 ounces of your chosen pasta to the pan and stir well.
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions (8-10 minutes), stirring occasionally.
- Once tender and most broth absorbed, reduce heat to low.
- Stir in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and optionally stir in chopped fresh parsley.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan and parsley.
