Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pour 2 cups of water into a medium-sized saucepan and bring to a rolling boil.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of black tea leaves to the boiling water, reduce heat, and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in 1 teaspoon each of ground cardamom, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Carefully strain the brewed tea into a pot or cup using a fine mesh strainer.
  5. In a separate saucepan, heat 1 cup of milk or non-dairy alternative over medium heat for 3–5 minutes until steaming.
  6. Pour the warm milk into the strained tea mixture and stir gently to combine.
  7. Sweeten to taste, mix well, and serve hot in your favorite mugs.
