- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add 1 pound of ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 5–7 minutes until thoroughly browned.
- Stir in 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon of minced ginger, and 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes into the skillet. Cook for another 2–3 minutes.
- Toss in 1 cup of broccoli florets and 1 diced bell pepper. Cover the skillet and allow the vegetables to steam for about 4–5 minutes, until tender.
- Spoon the beef and vegetable mixture over a serving of cooked rice and enjoy!
