Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and minced garlic in a bowl.
  2. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and set aside.
  3. Brown meatballs in a skillet over medium heat for 6-8 minutes.
  4. Pour in marinara sauce, add meatballs, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Slice garlic bread rolls in half and arrange on a baking sheet.
  6. Assemble by placing mozzarella, a meatball, and another slice of cheese on each roll half.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.
