Step-by-Step Instructions for Paella
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large paella pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until shimmering.
  2. Add cut chicken pieces, cooking for 5-7 minutes until browned on all sides, then set aside.
  3. In the same pan, sauté diced vegetables for 3-4 minutes until tender and vibrant.
  4. Stir in rice, saffron, paprika, and diced tomatoes, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour in broth, bring to a boil for 5-7 minutes, then stir gently to combine.
  6. Lower heat to a gentle simmer and cook uncovered for 20 minutes, without stirring.
  7. Arrange mixed seafood on top of the rice, cover and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes.
