Step-by-Step Instructions for Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Rinse 1 cup of sushi rice under cold water in a fine mesh strainer until the water runs clear. Combine the rice and 2 cups of water in a pot, bring it to a boil, cover and reduce heat for 15 minutes until cooked.
- In a bowl, combine ½ cup of mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of sriracha, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and ½ teaspoon of salt. Whisk until creamy.
- Fluff the sushi rice with a fork and spread it evenly in the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- Layer 2 cups of cooked, flaked salmon evenly over the sushi rice.
- Drizzle the spicy mayo mixture over the flaked salmon, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of panko bread crumbs evenly over the spicy mayo layer.
- Bake for approximately 10 minutes until the top is golden brown and crispy.
- Let it cool slightly before garnishing with 1 tablespoon of chopped green onions.
