Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Strawberry Halloween Monsters
  1. Trim the tops off the ripe strawberries, ensuring they can stand upright with the pointed tip facing up.
  2. Add a drop or two of black food coloring gel to the white fondant and knead until evenly distributed.
  3. Dust a clean work surface lightly with powdered icing sugar, then roll out the white and black fondant until about ⅛ inch thick.
  4. Cut out ovals from the black fondant for mouths and triangles from the white fondant for teeth.
  5. Use water to 'glue' the white teeth to the black mouths, then secure the mouths onto the strawberries with writing icing.
  6. Apply writing icing to the back of the candy eyes and place them on top of the mouths.
