Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Prepare Garlic Herb Oil: In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes if desired. Stir well and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Preheat and Grease Pan: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan with olive oil.
  3. Roll Out Pizza Dough: Roll the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 12x18 inches in size.
  4. Brush Dough with Garlic Herb Oil: Coat the dough with the garlic herb oil, leaving about 2 tablespoons aside.
  5. Add Cheese Layers: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and then shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the oiled dough.
  6. Cut Dough into Strips: Cut the dough into 1-inch wide strips and stack 6-8 on top of each other.
  7. Cut Stacked Strips into Pieces: Cut the stacked strips into 1-inch pieces.
  8. Arrange Dough Squares in the Pan: Transfer the dough squares to the prepared pan, standing them up with the cut sides facing up.
  9. Repeat with Remaining Dough: Continue cutting and stacking the remaining dough as before.
  10. Brush with Remaining Oil: Brush the top of the assembled bread with the remaining garlic herb oil.
  11. Bake Covered: Cover loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  12. Bake Uncovered for Color: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  13. Cool Before Serving: Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before serving.
  14. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top and serve warm with pizza sauce.
